This new article deals with Atari demo crews. All the crews are displayed in alphabetical order. You will find here a lot of information (members, last prods...) and news about those crews.

Non, vous ne vous êtes pas trompé de mag, vous lisez bien le Toxic ! Pourquoi un article anglais ? Parce que de plus en plus de lecteurs étrangers nous y incitent et aussi parce que la scène Atari contient de moins en moins de Français. Bien entendu, je n'ai pas utilisé de mots compliqués afin que tout le monde puisse comprendre. Et pourquoi ne pas avoir fait un article bilingue ? Ben... je n'en voyais pas trop l'utilité et puis ça prend plus de temps. Cette nouvelle rubrique, qui va devenir régulière, remplace l'ancien article habituel sur les groupes de démos sur ST/Falcon. Les groupes sont classés par ordre alphabétique, vous y trouverez les infos qui vont bien (membres, dernières productions...).

News	ST Survivor lefts the Toxic Mag Team. The Beast/Typhoon is now the new editor-in-chief of Toxic Mag. Thyrex will go on coding the interface for each issue. FroST was kicked from Loud! and he joined Sector One. As Moondog leaves the scene, ST Survivor is now the new editor of the Undercover diskmag (good luck, pal !).

News	FlexTrax is a soundtracker for Falcon, like ProTracker and Octalyzer. FlexTrax makes full use of the Falcon's hardware. It features an userfriendly interface in high resolution (640x480) and a built-in sample editor. Besides support for the MOD file format (eight channels), FlexTrax has its own file format. An extended version of the standard MOD file format with support for effects like reverb and delay. The replay routine used in FlexTrax was first developed for the platform game "Willie's Adventures". Willie's Adventures, the platform game for the Falcon, is still under development. Since the 2nd preview (released in March, 1997) a lot of work has been put into it. The game features multiple playable characters, over 20 levels, intelligent enemies, parallax scrolling, a soundsystem with DSP effects like reverb and delay, support for both VGA and RGB monitors, Nemesis hardware accelerator support, joypad support, and much more. Everything running smoothly in full frame rate (50 frames per second) even on a standard 4Mb Falcon compatible computer. Some snapshots are available on their web site. They are coding their next Falcon demo. It will be called "Dream or Reality ?".

News	Grubs is a commercial game. It is planned to be released as a shareware before the end of 1999. It features nice stuff such as parallax scrolling and multiplayer mode over the Internet. A module compilation is in the pipeline. It will include about 12 musics made by AIO. STiRC is a project for Internet surfers : it's a GEM-based IRC client for all Atari compatible computers. A new Game Boy emulator is born. It will run on ALL Atari and clones, both in TOS (fast) and GEM (slow) modes. A new STe demo will be released soon. It's called Project Blue for the moment. The coder said it runs at 50 fps on MEGA STe and 50/25 fps (depending on effects) on normal STe's. It features a multitasking demo kernel, a 12 bit truecolour video mode, a 12.5 KHz module player and a lot of effects : tunnels, bumpmap, texture mapping, motion blur, descent 3D engine and more. An STe STOS megademo is going to be released very soon by TAM.
